My work is more specialized, and customized to your case, than what you typically find in the marketplace.
My services include: Forensic Meteorology Expert Analysis and Consultation Expert Testimony
What is Forensic Meteorology? Forensic Meteorology is the study and reconstruction of past weather events. Plaintiffs and defendants need to establish meteorological facts in pursuit, or defense, of a wide range of litigated cases.
What types of cases are involved? Typical cases in which I have applied my expertise are:
Slip and Fall Property damage (wind, heavy snow, etc.) Vehicular and aviation incidents Flooding Criminal cases Determination of lighting conditions (sunrise/sunset)
How does a Consulting Meteorologist prepare a report? The first step is a gathering and an evaluation of meteorological data in order to make a preliminary finding. Should further consultation work be desired, a complete examination of meteorological data and supporting legal documentation is conducted, then an expert report is written. The report becomes discoverable evidence and can be submitted for further use in deposition, arbitration, or trial.
What is the cost for my services? After the free initial consultation and authorization to proceed, work is conducted on a time and materials basis, at a competitive expert witness rate. The outcome of the preliminary finding usually provides a reasonable basis to provide an estimate of the amount of work needed to produce the report.
